When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication information through our identity provider (Clerk). When you create links, we store the link data you provide.

When someone clicks a v5.ink link, we collect click analytics data including: IP address (anonymized), user agent string, referrer, country (derived from IP), device type, and browser type. We use this data to classify traffic as human, AI agent, or bot.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain our link management service
To generate analytics and AI traffic reports
To enforce usage limits based on your subscription plan
To process payments through Stripe
To communicate service updates

3. AI Agent Detection

v5.ink analyzes user agent strings and behavioral patterns to detect AI agent traffic (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini). This detection is performed on click data and does not involve tracking individual users across sites.

4. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained based on your subscription plan: 7 days (Free), 90 days (Pro), or 365 days (Max). Account data is retained until you delete your account.

Tinybird — Analytics data processing
Cloudflare — CDN and link redirect infrastructure
Neon — Database hosting

6. Your Rights
